Hi all 🙂 we had a lovely weekend with the family. I can’t say it was relaxing- but it was so much fun. Jack absolutely loved playing with all of the kids.
Today is the one year anniversary of Jack sleeping in his crib. We decided to try sleep training with him when he was 4 months old, and it worked so well for us. I joined a supporting moms Facebook group and picked up some tips and tricks.
I used the group information and modified it so that it worked best for us. I didn’t commit to one “method” of sleep training, but just combined practices to suit what we wanted to do. Jack thrived.
He went to bed every night, after a bath, in his sleep sack, with his sound machine on, his sookie in, snuggling his blankie. It sounds like a lot of steps, and maybe it is, but after a few tough days, he slept the night in his crib.
Jack sleeps from 7-7 in his crib 90 percent of nights. On the nights he wakes up, he has the tools to sooth himself back to sleep with very little crying.
We are all better for it. A few tough days (and I mean tough- don’t get me wrong) have been totally worth it in the long run.
